HMRC Self Assessment online service: check availability page
HMRC has refreshed its Self Assessment service availability and issues page. The page lets you check whether the Self Assessment online service is running normally or whether any problems are currently affecting it.
If you are a sole trader, landlord, or small business owner who files a Self Assessment tax return online, it is worth keeping this page bookmarked — particularly at busy filing times or if you get an unexpected error when trying to log in or submit a return.
There is no specific action required from this update. No outages or issues are announced in the notice itself, so if everything is working for you, you can carry on as normal.
