HMRC updates guidance on manually calculating Statutory Parental Bereavement Pay
HMRC has updated its guidance on how to manually calculate Statutory Parental Bereavement Pay. It is aimed at employers whose payroll software or Basic PAYE tool does not work out these payments automatically.
If your software handles this calculation for you, no action is needed. If it does not, the updated guidance sets out how to work through the figures yourself.
This is a routine guidance update rather than a change in the rules, so most small employers in East Kent will not need to do anything unless they find themselves in the position of needing to calculate this pay by hand.
