HMRC publishes Welsh-language MTD for Income Tax guidance
HMRC has published a Welsh-language guidance page aimed at sole traders, landlords, and agents, explaining how to use its new approach to Self Assessment under Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax.
The guidance itself is in Welsh. If you or your clients primarily use English, the equivalent English-language MTD for Income Tax guidance remains available on gov.uk. No new deadlines, thresholds, or requirements are announced in this update — it is a language accessibility addition rather than a policy change.
No immediate action is required as a result of this publication. However, if you are a sole trader or landlord who has not yet looked into what MTD for Income Tax means for your record-keeping and reporting, now is a good time to start.
